Preparation

• white or transparent window squeegee
• brush
• spade
• thermometer
• floor scraper
• vacuum cleaner

Mixing

• Check there is enough product available
• Check the floor and air temperature: 5-30°C, ideal: 15-20°C
• Remove protruding stones with a floor scraper
• Blow or vacuum away the stones
• Tape off baseboards or other boards

Mixing

• Do not mix product to avoid air entrapment
• There may occasionally be some condensation at the top of the bucket. Do not pour this moisture on the floor or mix it!

Clean tools

• Pour 0.5-1 litre of product on the floor
• Divide:
  • • Spread the material over ±2 m wide and a strip of ±60 cm
    • spread from left to right and right to left
    • hold the squeegee blade ±45° to the floor
    • overlap the previous strip by 50% at the start of each new strip
    • Check all the pores have been filled
    • Spread again if necessary
• Wiping:
  • • necessary to remove excess product and avoid streaking
    • Use light pressure back to front
    • Lift the squeegee each time and remove the excess material from the squeege
    • Squeegee blade at ±25° relative to floor

Additional points of attention

• half-empty packaging: the material can still be stored in closed packaging for the next project, otherwise dispose of as chemical waste.
• Empty packaging: cured material can be removed quite easily from the buckets, it is then considered to be construction waste. Doing this means the buckets can still be reused.
• Clean tools with water

Disclaimer

• to avoid streaks the edges must be kept wet at all times. For large floors it is recommended to work with several people.
• If possible, it is recommended to work in parallel to the largest/lowest windows (to make streaking less visible)
• Attention: Do not use for outdoor applications
• Avoid high floor temperatures :
  • • Adjust underfloor heating to ±15°C 1 to 3 days in advance
    • Tape up windows if the sun is shining through
• Avoid large temperature differences:
  • • Turn off or remove air conditioning units that are blowing on the floor
• Sufficient ventilation without creating drafts on the surface
• Do not use a brush, roller or squeegee. Only use a small flat brush in inaccessible places
• Only for new marble or stone carpet and certainly do not work on damp substrates
